Marilyn Baldwin OBE interviewed by Scott Dalton on BBC Radio Lincolnshire breakfast show – A  woman from Spalding whose dad has spent an estimated £50,000 over a period of 15 years on bogus prize draws and lotteries spoke of the frustration she faced trying to protect him. Her father has ‘Jessica Scam Syndrome’. She said he would wait outside his home for the postman every day.

Trading Standards estimate that some victims in Lincolnshire are sending up to £700 a month  to international organised criminal gangs. They have also identified elderly victims who have emptied bank accounts and lost their homes.

so far 2,000 victims in the region  have been identified as being on ‘suckers’ lists but that number is rising.
