Think Jessica reporting.
If you would like to report yourself or somebody who you think might be a victim of a scam your details will be forwarded to the National Scams Team for further action.
The National Scams Team is an organisation that will make a referral to the local Trading Standards Service for the individual concerned.
The information that you provide about a scam victim will be sent securely to the National Scams Team. They will then make contact with the relevant geographical Trading Standards Service or other professional service, requesting that the individual is visited and offered support.
The National Scams Team aims to refer victims to the relevant Trading Standards Service/other professional service within 5 business days upon receipt of the report.
By completing this email you are agreeing to this information being shared with professional agencies.
If you are reporting a victim and would prefer that you are contacted in the first instance please state this clearly on the top of the email. Please include as much information as possible including the name and address of the victim you are reporting, this is required in order to establish the correct Local Authority to make the referral to. If you are reporting someone else please also include your name, address, contact number and your relationship with the victim.
If you do not provide the victims geographical information (name and address) a referral will NOT be made to the relevant Local Authority. If you require assistance for a victim this information MUST be provided. If you have asked to be contacted first this will still be the case but the victims location is a requirement before any contact will be made with you or the victim.
